Health & Hope Mission 1 John 3:18 is happy to announce that the second annual Cow Plop is underway!  The event will take place at  the Gouverneur Pumpkin Festival, October 1st at 1 PM.  Each $10 ticket purchased represents a plot on the grid..  We will set our seasoned heifer “Betsy” , donated by Karen Rizzo, loose on the grid of land.   If she  “plops” or has a “cow patty” on your land, you win the grand prize of $500 cash.  The ticket holders of the plots of land which are directly North, East, South, West of the wining plot will each win $50 “good neighbor award”. We also have some donated products from NAPA Auto and Kinney Drugs to be raffled off.

The event is a lot of fun and supports a good cause. Tickets are available at Washburn’s General Store and Casablanca Restaurant.  Tickets will also be available at the St. Lawrence County Fairgrounds during the Festival on Sept. 30th and Oct  1st until 11:30.  Volunteers will be selling tickets at Kinney Drugs starting at 10 AM on September 15 at the E. Main St. location and on September 22 starting at 10 AM at the Clinton Street location. Tickets are also available on line at christhealthcareministry.org

We would like to thank the  following businesses for their support. Health and Hope Mission is part of Christ Health Care Ministry (CHCM) and this is one of two annual fundraisers. The second annual fundraiser typically occurs in the spring, in Newburg New York and is a golf outing.  The proceeds of the Cow Plop will go directly to the Gouverneur site.

Also, CHCM holds two Pastor's Breakfasts annually. The purpose of the breakfast is to grow in faith, fellowship, and share the mission and vision of CHCM.  Recently Pastor Orv Eacker  hosted the breakfast at Stepping Stone Church. The breakfast was followed by a meeting of the Christian Prayer Initiative. Thank you to all pastors and spouses who attended.
